Some rather nifty pictures (that you can “turn on and off”) taken during Earth Hour.
I’m just not sure why this doesn’t happen nightly. Are we so afraid of the dark? It’s not exactly Gotham in any of these places, not very many of the lights actually get turned out - just the ridiculous floods of day-glo colour that kick at the darkness.

Now, if only there weren’t still 105 of them making $130,400 a year, plus travel expenses, plus living allowances, plus extra salary for any special duties they have, plus full benefits to do pretty much nothing of any real importance. 12 year terms? I mean come on, what does this fix? Nothing. This fixes nothing at all about the Senate, except making it easier for a party to gain majorities in both the House of Commons and the Senate, thus weakening the Senates power of check in Parliament, thus making it even more redundant… What is this? Who thought this was a good idea?..

RB: I don’t think so. Firstly, because those ladies avoid drinking with someone like me. Secondly, because I don’t drink anymore. Thirdly, because not even in my worst drinking rampages I’ve lost the minimum amount of lucidity, a sense of prosody and rhythm, a certain disallowance for theft, mediocrity or silence.
